Started his career in VESCO in 2000 as Sales Specialist. In 2007, he was appointed Director of Sales and Logistics at that enterprise. Since 2013, he joined the UMG Investments team as Sales Director and since 2017, has been General Director of INTECH. Sergey is also member of Supervisory Boards in a number of UMG Investments’ portfolio companies, and since March, 2020 – Head of the Supervisory Board at PVP “Kryvbasvybukhprom” PJSC. Over his career, Sergey gained practical experience in investment, mining, transportation, metallurgy and other industries. Sergey Melnychenko took part in several public programs of business schools such as INSEAD and SKOLKOVO and also obtained a Master’s degree in International Economics at Donetsk National University.
Has been holding the post of SCM Investment Director since July 2018. Since November 2015, he had been the Director of Business Development at SCM.
From July 2010 to August 2011, Sergey Zuzak worked at SCM Company as an investment manager at the mining and metallurgical business development department.
Before joining SCM, from 1999 to 2003, Sergey Zuzak held a specialist position in the Creditanstalt Investment Bank. From 2004 to 2010 he worked as an investment manager in the international investment company Horizon Capital (Western NIS Enterprise Fund until 2006). Mr. Zuzak is responsible for the development of SCM business areas such as agriculture (HarvEast Holding), mineral production (UMG INVESTMENTS), retail (Ukrainian Retail) and gas stations (Parallel-M Ltd). His responsibilities include strategy, investment, finance and risk.
In 2001 he graduated from the National University "Kiev-Mohyla Academy" with a degree in Economic Theory and Entrepreneurship.
Andriy has been managing UMG Investments since 2009. He has more than 20 years’ experience in M&A, investment management, corporate governance and finance. Before joining UMG, Mr Gorokhov worked at United Capital (asset management), SCM (asset management), PwC (finance consulting and auditing) and the ARBED Group (metal industry). During his career, Andriy Gorokhov has gained significant practical experience in investment, mining, machinery, transport, energy, metal and other industries. Under Mr Gorokhov’s management, the capitalized value of UMG Investments portfolio has seen an eight-fold increase, growing to USD 500+ million. Andriy Gorokhov is an alumnus of two business schools: INSEAD (EMBA 2008) and Harvard Business School (PLD 2016).
Aleksandr Smirnov joined Portinvest as chief executive officer in 2010. He has European experience in the port sector - he completed the project to build the largest modern coal terminal in the port of Ventspils (Latvia), where from 2004-2010 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Baltic Coal Terminal.
He worked in senior positions in industrial enterprises of Ukraine. From 1990-2004, he was Director for Commercial and Financial Issues at Makeyevsky Coke Plant OJSC, and after that - Chairman of the Management Board of the enterprise. From 2004 to 2010, at Donetskstal Metallurgical Plant CJSC, he was engaged in foreign economic activity, the development of logistics and a strategy for cooperation with ports.
He graduated from the Donetsk State Academy of Management with a degree in Project Management and the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Technology and Complex Mechanization of Underground Mining of Underground Minerals.
Yevgeniya Salyuk took the office of HR director of Portinvest in October 2011. Yevgeniya Salyuk joined the team of PORTINVEST LLC in October 2011, taking the position of HR Director. She began her career in personnel management more than 15 years ago. During this time, Yevgeniya headed the HR department at several large Ukrainian companies. From 2007 to 2011, she worked as the HR Director of OLIMP, where she built an effective personnel management function in production, sales, and logistics. In 2004-2007 held the position of HR Director at the gas station network of Hephaestus CJSC, created a personnel management system, developed and implemented corporate standards in the field of recruitment, adaptation, assessment, training, payment systems and service standards. In 2000-2004 worked at the Parallel M-Service Private Enterprise as a personnel manager. She graduated from Donetsk National Technical University with a degree in Enterprise Finance. Aleksandr Zakharenko has been Chief Technical Officer at Portinvest since 2011. Alexander Zakharenko holds the position of technical director of PORTINVEST since 2011. He graduated from Donetsk National Technical University with a degree in mine and underground construction and economics and management in the mining and exploration sectors. In 1999, Alexander Zakharenko received the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty "Underground mining of mineral deposits." He completed professional internships in Germany at Georg Agricola Higher Technical Mining School (Bochum) and at Deutsche Montan Technologie GmbH (Essen), an engineering and consulting mining technology company. From 2000 to 2003, he worked at the Department of Mining Geomechanics at Donetsk National Technical University as an assistant professor. He held the position of chief specialist for working with coal industry enterprises at ZAO Donetskstal - a metallurgical plant". From 2004 to 2010, he was a member of the board and technical director of JSC “Baltic Coal Terminal”.
Aleksandr Vasilchenko joined Portinvest as a CCO in 2011. Prior to that, he managed the Baltic Coal Terminal as a commercial unit for the construction of a coal transshipment terminal in the port of Ventspils. He has extensive experience in managing foreign economic activity of enterprises. 2001-2002 managed the foreign trade activities of Donetsk Metallurgical Plant LLC. In 2003-2010 - Deputy Director for Logistics and Foreign Economic Affairs at CJSC Donetskstal. He graduated from Donetsk National Technical University with a degree in Automation of Technological Processes and Enterprise Economics.
